Meet our Lesson Horses

HALF LEASES AVAILABLE – Please contact ALE to confirm current availability for approved students.

Leasing is an excellent way for students to continue developing their riding skills outside of lessons. Consistent practice helps build muscle memory in the saddle and improve horsemanship on the ground.

Approved students must be able to canter independently and tack up on their own. If student is a minor, a parent or guardian must remain on-site to supervise while the student prepares the horse, rides, and completes all post‑ride care (unless scheduled during times when staff supervision is available).

Lease ride days must be scheduled in advance. Because a leased horse may also be used in lessons, it’s important to stick to the scheduled time or reschedule ahead of time. Students are expected to properly care for the horse and tack during each visit.

Lease Options:

  • Half Lease: 3 days per week, including 1 lesson (the lesson counts as one of the 3 days)

Leases require a month‑to‑month commitment, with a 30‑day notice if the student plans to discontinue the following month.

Leasers receive priority access to their leased horse for lessons, shows, schoolings, and other events. Students are expected to attend their weekly lessons and schedule make‑up lessons if one is missed.
